The Research Association for Diesel Emission Control Technologies -registered association- (FAD e. V.) was founded in Dresden at July 14 th 2000. The association has 43 members. The majority of the founding members are well known suppliers of automotive parts from Germany and other European countries.

The purpose of the FAD e.V. is the promotion of  competition-neutral science and research in the field of exhaust aftertreatment technologies of diesel engines, the further development of comparable technologies and to further cooperations of companies acting in this field.

Therefore the FAD e. V focuses its main efforts on supporting its members and partners in the fields-development, assessment, application and launch of exhaust aftertreatment systems, to obtain an effective decrease in exhaust emissions of diesel engines.

In addition the Research Association functions as link between legislator, technology producer and technology user.
