Also in the 10
th year since the foundation of the FAD e.V. representatives of the vehicle and supplier industry as well as manufacturers of measurement technology, researchers and representatives of the legislation will meet on 3
rd and 4
th November 2010 in Dresden for the 8th FAD-Conference “The Challenge – Exhaust Aftertreatment for Diesel Engines”.
Since the first FAD-conference in 2003 this event became a constant in the calendar of events of this industry. The steady positive feedback during all the years proves, that each further tightening of the limit values also means a new technological challenge for the industry. Therefore a high demand on technical discussions and exchange of ideas is at hand.
The advantages of the diesel engine are: high driving performance, low fuel consumption and due to this low CO
2-emissions and at the same time significantly reduced noxious and acoustic emissions. In future this excellence has to be strengthened in order to keep the attractiveness of the diesel engine as drivetrain.
The future emission limit values for the diesel engine require a further reduction of the PM and NO
x-emissions. Especially the NO
x-limit values will be the next great challenge. For the compliance with future ambitious emission and imission limit values a comprehensive implementation of efficient and reliably functioning exhaust aftertreatment technologies for all applications of the diesel engine will be indispensable.
The focuses of this year’s conference will display the current problems and future challenges for the development of exhaust aftertreatment technologies. The four sessions of the 8th FAD-conference will be:
Session I:
|
Euro 6 / EURO VI - solutions and new challenges |
| Session II: |
Future Emission concepts - Research and Development Focuses
|
Session III:
|
Retrofit: How long?
|
| Session IV: |
Fuel Diversity and Exhaust Aftertreatment
|
According to a good tradition we will have a parallel technical exhibition that offers companies and institutes the possibility to present their products and technical competence. By this our conference offers a platform for the intense exchange of experiences and ideas.
